Crack Home loves music--why else would we host so many parties? From what I remember of last night, there were a lot of sweet sweet tunes being played, while A. Steves and SeanRob made it onto the table with a solid 9 wins.
Possibly my favorite of those tunes was "Try A Little Tenderness", by the one and only Mr. Otis Redding. Stevens is a huge fan, so it was probably his choice, but Otis certainly reached all of us. For me, the song also recalls that great scene in Pretty in Pink...you know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, it's a great song, by a great man who made great music, and who is still greatly missed today. What would Otis say if he could see all these drunk white kids dancing to his music? I like to think that he would just smile, and then find someone to make a team with and get on the table.
Hope everyone's not too hungover today. Remember: tomato juice!
And just to get Duckie out of your head, here's Mr. Redding himself in a great performance of the song.

First Post...

Wow! Crack Home's very own blog. Let's start off by introducing ourselves. Actually, the CarlWiki does a pretty good job of that for us here.
Today, a blessed Wednesday, the summer Crack Home found that its funds were being stretched much too thin by the weekly hosting of WNP(or B, what have you), and used that damned useful Facebook to ask the greater Carleton community for help. Sponsors were desired, and sponsors were found! And how quickly those honorable souls rose to meet our request! The Peters will be hosting tonight, what is sure to be a beautiful night of cups made and lost, partially remembered by all.
Thanks, guys!
